Oklahoma City Citizen Satisfaction is on the Rise in 2009

The ETC institute recently released results from a survey conducted in June reporting that eight out of 10 Oklahoma City residents think Oklahoma City is moving in the right direction. They also believe it is a good place to live, raise children and work.

Seventy-eight percent of those surveyed indicated they were satisfied with the quality of life in Oklahoma City, showing a 10 percent increase in satisfaction levels over the 2008 survey.

This survey completes the fourth year that Oklahoma City has conducted the satisfaction survey. Residents’ ratings of City services significantly increased in 2009 in 49 of the 50 areas assessed.

Oklahoma City was also assessed nationally. When compared to cities with a population of more than 250,000, Oklahoma City residents rated City services far above the national average.

These results came from a six-page survey mailed to a random sample of 3,000 Oklahoma City households. Of those, 1,393 responded.
